7:55 pm update: Fire is contained. Waiting from the all clear from DNR before energizing the lines. No estimated time of restoration.

5:15 pm: There is a last-minute unplanned outage due to a fire in the West Sound area. Crew is on site. Department of Natural Resources has a helicopter on hand for water drops. The OPALCO team is on hand to support the electrical side of things – this fire does not appear to be related to OPALCO’s electrical equipment but is close to some of the transmission infrastructure and we are using caution by keeping the power lines de-energized at this time. No estimated time of restoration.
