The sunshine is here!

Our Decatur Community Solar project hit its highest production day in 2019 this weekend!

At a whopping 2,555 kWh in a single day. This is good news as we ramp up for summer, and reminds us that sunny days make a big difference with our local energy production, even when it’s chilly.

The energy produced on Decatur on Saturday is enough to power a single OPALCO member home for an entire month during the coldest winter periods. During the summer, that will cover about 5 member homes.
