Outage Summary: At about 2:30 pm on Christmas Day trees hit the powerlines on Lopez Island in two places. The first location was cleared quickly but the second location caused damage to equipment along that stretch of the grid. At about 7:30 pm, the crew needed to turn off the high voltage transmission lines that feed Orcas and Shaw Island to do repairs for about 20 minutes. The crew continued to work through the night to make repairs and get the final meters restored. At 10:10 am on December 26th there are still approximately 40 meters on Lopez that remain out. The crew will continue until everyone is back in power. Thank you to our amazing crew for working through the night and getting our power restored.

UPDATE: 12/26 at 7:15 am. Crew is making final repairs and most meters have been restored.

4:30 am. The damages were extensive and the crew will work until all meters have power.

Christmas Day

11:45 pm. The crew continues to work to repair the remaining issues so all meters have power. They will continue working until all meters have power. No estimated time of restoration. 

10 pm. The crew has started to restore power on Lopez. There are some meters who have awhile before power is restored.

9 pm. Shaw and Orcas have power. The crew is still working on Lopez to make full repairs. No estimated time of full restoration.

7:45 pm. The crew needs to turn power off for Shaw and Orcas Island in order to fix the outage on Lopez. Repairs needed are extensive but Shaw and Orcas should have power restored by 8:45 pm. 

5 pm. The crew continues to work to get this outage restored. No estimated restoration.

3:45 PM The crew is still working to restore this outage and repair the damage from the tree in the power line. No estimated restoration.
