Clean wind in your hair, clean fuel in your tank

Here at OPALCO, we were excited to see Jay Inslee announce his plans for clean energy legislation. Including support for Electric Vehicles (EVs). San Juan County boasts the highest per capita ownership of EVs in Washington State.

Making our transportation less dependent on fossil fuels is good for our planet and saves us money.  The plans include building more charging stations for EVs and making them more accessible by offering sales tax incentives.

It even included plans to start electrifying the fleet of Washington State Ferries!

Doing research on EVs? Check out our EV pages – we have tons of good information. We also offer great rebates on home charging stations for your EV.
