Hubo una tormenta perfecta de factores agravantes que hicieron que nuestras facturas de energ\u00eda fueran muy altas este mes. Las facturas de energ\u00eda en enero incluyen el uso de energ\u00eda durante una prolongada ola de fr\u00edo donde las temperaturas cayeron a los diez grados entre Navidad y A\u00f1o Nuevo. Mientras los sistemas de calefacci\u00f3n de los hogares trabajaban arduamente para mantenerse al d\u00eda con el clima, sucedieron un par de cosas: el consumo de energ\u00eda aument\u00f3 (duplic\u00e1ndose en muchos casos) y la demanda de energ\u00eda super\u00f3 el rango normal, lo que gener\u00f3 elevados cargos por demanda (~$300k) de Bonneville Power.
