\"OPALCO<\/a>Cinco becarios juveniles cooperativos de Nourdine Jensen seleccionados por OPALCO asistieron al Rally Juvenil Cooperativo de la Asociaci\u00f3n de Servicios P\u00fablicos Propiedad del Consumidor (ICUA) de Idaho 2014 en el College of Idaho este verano. Cada uno dej\u00f3 su huella en el campamento regional de liderazgo juvenil y cada uno enorgulleci\u00f3 a la Cooperativa.<\/p>\n

Los estudiantes seleccionados como ganadores del premio de la Beca para J\u00f3venes Cooperativos Nourdine Jensen 2014 de OPALCO fueron (de izq en la foto): William Coe, Gabi Carver-Hackett, Willow Paige<\/strong>, <\/strong>Peter Kamin <\/strong>(tambi\u00e9n en la foto Suzanne Olson y Roger Sandwith, Chaperones) y Maya Burt-Kidwell, <\/strong>quien regres\u00f3 como Director Juvenil en el Rally.<\/p>\n

Adem\u00e1s de las becas $500 recibidas de OPALCO, Peter Kamin recibi\u00f3 la beca ICUA superior de $500 y William Coe recibi\u00f3 una beca ICUA $300. Maya Burt-Kidwell obtuvo la mejor beca ICUA de segundo a\u00f1o ($600). William fue elegido por sus compa\u00f1eros en el Rally para regresar como Director Juvenil en 2014, lo que incluye un viaje a Boise en marzo para planificar el Rally.<\/p>\n

Los estudiantes participaron en foros con l\u00edderes regionales de la industria energ\u00e9tica, aprendieron los conceptos b\u00e1sicos de la electricidad y c\u00f3mo funcionan las cooperativas desde la base, trabajaron en una simulaci\u00f3n de los desaf\u00edos de servir (y tratar de ser reelegido) como estudiante de primer a\u00f1o. Congresista, y luego poner sus conocimientos en pr\u00e1ctica en ejercicios y juegos de formaci\u00f3n de equipos. El tiempo de clase se equilibr\u00f3 con actividades divertidas del campamento de verano, como bolos, patinaje sobre ruedas, bailes sociales y un d\u00eda en un parque acu\u00e1tico.<\/p>\n

Los estudiantes dar\u00e1n una presentaci\u00f3n de sus experiencias el 16 de octubreth<\/sup> reuni\u00f3n de la Junta Directiva en Eastsound a partir de las 8:30 am.
