La combinaci\u00f3n de combustibles muestra algunos cambios con respecto al a\u00f1o anterior (un poco m\u00e1s de viento, un poco menos de agua) y representa un producto libre de gases de efecto invernadero en 95%. La combinaci\u00f3n de combustibles es la lista de todas las fuentes que Bonneville Power Administration (BPA) utiliza en el proceso de generaci\u00f3n de la electricidad que compran y utilizan los miembros de OPALCO.<\/p>\n<p>La combinaci\u00f3n de combustibles de 2008 incluy\u00f3: 81.87% hidroel\u00e9ctrico, 11.71% nuclear, 3.55% carb\u00f3n, 1.18% e\u00f3lico, 1.46% gas natural, 0.11% biomasa, 0.07% residuos y 0.04% petr\u00f3leo. De las fuentes no renovables, el carb\u00f3n subi\u00f3 1%, el gas natural subi\u00f3 0,41%, la nuclear subi\u00f3 1,26% (debido a que la planta generadora estuvo parada durante dos meses en 2007) y el petr\u00f3leo aument\u00f3 0,01%.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cA medida que las otras fuentes renovables, como la e\u00f3lica, est\u00e9n m\u00e1s disponibles\u201d, dijo Stuart Clarke, ejecutivo de cuentas de ventas de energ\u00eda de BPA, \u201cveremos fluctuar el porcentaje hidroel\u00e9ctrico.
