Ya est\u00e1n abiertas las nominaciones para las elecciones de 2025. Hay dos puestos vacantes: uno en el Distrito 1 (San Juan y otros) y otro en el Distrito 2 (Orcas y otros).<\/p>\n<p>Los directores de las cooperativas reciben un estipendio por su tiempo y OPALCO les brinda capacitaci\u00f3n en la industria. OPALCO tiene siete puestos en la junta directiva en cuatro distritos que son elegidos por per\u00edodos de tres a\u00f1os, con elecciones escalonadas. Como cooperativa sin fines de lucro, tener una junta directiva elegida democr\u00e1ticamente es clave para la estructura de la organizaci\u00f3n. Todos los miembros votan para todos los puestos, independientemente de su distrito de origen.<\/p>\n<p>Se anima a los miembros de la Cooperativa de todos los or\u00edgenes y que representan todas las identidades a postularse. La Cooperativa valora todo tipo de experiencia y habilidades: no es necesario ser ingeniero ni tener experiencia previa con servicios p\u00fablicos. Nuestra organizaci\u00f3n abarca gesti\u00f3n empresarial, finanzas y contabilidad, derecho, seguros, prestaciones sociales, educaci\u00f3n y capacitaci\u00f3n, marketing, tecnolog\u00eda, pol\u00edticas p\u00fablicas, construcci\u00f3n, adquisiciones, ingenier\u00eda, dise\u00f1o, gesti\u00f3n de proyectos, permisos y operaciones. Si tienes experiencia en alguna de estas \u00e1reas u otra experiencia pertinente, \u00a1podr\u00edas ser un candidato ideal!<\/p>\n<p>Hay dos maneras de ser nominado a la Junta Directiva de OPALCO: por comit\u00e9 o por petici\u00f3n. Los candidatos deben residir en el distrito donde desean postularse, ser miembros al corriente de sus obligaciones, ser mayores de 18 a\u00f1os y tener un diploma de bachillerato o equivalente. Las solicitudes por comit\u00e9 deben presentarse antes del 2 de febrero a las 12 p. m.; las solicitudes por petici\u00f3n deben presentarse antes del 2 de marzo a las 12 p. m. La lista completa de candidatos se publicar\u00e1 el 13 de marzo.
