A diferencia de una represa hidroel\u00e9ctrica o una planta de gas, no producen energ\u00eda seg\u00fan la demanda. Esto no es solo un desaf\u00edo t\u00e9cnico, sino tambi\u00e9n un desaf\u00edo econ\u00f3mico y de uso de la tierra\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>La generaci\u00f3n local de energ\u00eda renovable puede ayudar a proteger a la comunidad de los aumentos repentinos de precios y la vulnerabilidad a los apagones. Esto requerir\u00e1 que la comunidad invierta en generaci\u00f3n, transmisi\u00f3n y almacenamiento.
