Como cooperativa propiedad de sus miembros, los miembros de OPALCO eligen la Junta Directiva que es responsable de establecer pol\u00edticas y tarifas, esencialmente guiando el rumbo de nuestra empresa de servicios el\u00e9ctricos. El proceso de nominaciones de 2023 est\u00e1 completo y la lista de candidatos es:<\/p>\n

Distrito 1 (un puesto vacante): Vince Dauciunas \u2013 Titular
\nDistrito 2 (un puesto vacante): Rick Christmas \u2013 Titular, Chuks Onwuneme<\/p>\n

OPALCO organizar\u00e1 un Foro de Candidatos para que los miembros escuchen a los candidatos el 9 de marzo a las 5 pm. El evento virtual ser\u00e1 moderado por Steve Bowman, de la Liga de Mujeres Votantes, y se anima a los miembros a que vengan con preguntas para los candidatos. Las boletas y los materiales de votaci\u00f3n se enviar\u00e1n a todos los miembros de la cooperativa el 10 de marzo por correo postal y electr\u00f3nico (si hay una direcci\u00f3n de correo electr\u00f3nico registrada). OPALCO debe obtener un qu\u00f3rum de al menos 10% de los miembros y alentar\u00e1 la participaci\u00f3n de los votantes enviando boletas de papel a cada miembro. Nuestro proveedor electoral externo, Survey & Ballot Systems (SBS), cuenta con medidas para garantizar que cada votante obtenga solo un voto. Todos los miembros votan por todos los puestos vacantes en la junta directiva cada a\u00f1o, independientemente de d\u00f3nde vivan.<\/p>\n
