Como cooperativa el\u00e9ctrica, el margen al final de cualquier a\u00f1o vuelve a manos de los miembros. Cada a\u00f1o, la Cooperativa realiza un seguimiento de cu\u00e1nto paga usted por la energ\u00eda y determina qu\u00e9 parte del margen recibir\u00e1 como asignaci\u00f3n de cr\u00e9dito de capital para su membres\u00eda.<\/p>\n<p>Los dividendos del cr\u00e9dito de capital se pagan a los miembros despu\u00e9s de 25 a\u00f1os. Los cheques que se enviar\u00e1n este a\u00f1o son para miembros activos en 1997 y 1998 y se enviar\u00e1n por correo el 19 de diciembre. Los montos de los cheques oscilan entre cinco d\u00f3lares y miles (para grandes consumidores de energ\u00eda, como las tiendas de comestibles); la mayor\u00eda de los cheques son por entre $50 \u2013 250.<\/p>\n<p>El a\u00f1o pasado se donaron m\u00e1s de $18,000 de verificaciones de cr\u00e9dito de capital para apoyar el Proyecto Pal, ayudando a los vecinos de nuestra comunidad. Project Pal ofrece una subvenci\u00f3n \u00fanica (por a\u00f1o) a miembros de bajos ingresos durante la temporada de calefacci\u00f3n.<\/p>\n<p>Este a\u00f1o, m\u00e1s de 6.000 miembros recibir\u00e1n cheques. En 2018, OPALCO comenz\u00f3 a utilizar una metodolog\u00eda de suavizaci\u00f3n para garantizar que las jubilaciones generales sean lo m\u00e1s uniformes posible de un a\u00f1o a otro y planificar m\u00e1rgenes m\u00e1s grandes que se produjeron en los \u00faltimos veinte a\u00f1os.
