OPALCO est\u00e1 limpiando las \u00e1reas de derecho de paso debajo de las l\u00edneas el\u00e9ctricas para proteger el sistema el\u00e9ctrico de la isla. Este claro evita cortes de energ\u00eda causados por \u00e1rboles y ramas colgantes, elimina combustibles forestales que podr\u00edan alimentar un incendio forestal y mejora la seguridad y el acceso de los equipos de l\u00ednea durante los cortes de energ\u00eda. OPALCO est\u00e1 trabajando con equipos profesionales de poda de \u00e1rboles en Orcas, Shaw, L\u00f3pez y la isla San Juan durante el mes de diciembre para eliminar \u00e1rboles y otra vegetaci\u00f3n debajo o cerca de nuestras l\u00edneas el\u00e9ctricas.<\/p>\n

La eliminaci\u00f3n de \u00e1rboles potencialmente peligrosos alrededor de las l\u00edneas de transmisi\u00f3n a\u00e9reas reduce los tiempos de interrupci\u00f3n y ayuda a todos los miembros de la cooperativa a tener un sistema m\u00e1s confiable y un entorno m\u00e1s seguro.
