A 25kV Orcas to Shaw cable was recovered. Special care was taken in the retrieval, as OPALCO intends to reuse the cable at a future time

The cast iron cable protectors are covering existing OPALCO 69kV power cables. The black cable in no conduit is a composite cable that has been abandoned by OPALCO, the fiber portion of which is still in use by CenturyTel.
