Steps For a Successful Electrical Installation & Facility Installation Specifications

Installing a new electric service is a joint project between the member and the cooperative. This publication is designed to provide you with the information needed for the successful installation of a new service.

These guidelines, requirements and specifications are outlined in detail in the OPALCO Tariff, and are designed to include all current codes and regulations, the safety of our members and staff, and the best interests of the cooperative.

OPALCO will not energize a service unless all requirements as stated herein are met. Members are also required to meet all state and local regulations. The Washington State Department of Labor and Industries holds jurisdiction over secondary installations.
